Rankin Biomedical was founded in 1995 and has been in business for almost 23 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Rankin Biomedical's focus and expertise is refurbishing and selling histopathology and cytology equipment used in labs to diagnose and research cancer. Products include grossing stations, fume containment hoods, tissue processors, embedding centers, microtomes, cryostats, slide stainers, labelers, and coverslippers, slide imagers, microscopes, and more.
Rankin Biomedical's in-house refurbishment processes enable us to rejuvenate laboratory equipment to OEM specifications. Rankin Biomedical contributes to sustaining the Green Economy by circumventing tons of materials from going to landfills.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Before starting Rankin Biomedical in 1995, Rob worked as a laboratory technologist in hospital, private, and physician office laboratories. His hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and procedures to produce patient test results prepared him for envisioning the benefit of recycling older lab equipment back into the marketplace.
